Twechar Youth Group
Twechar Youth Group is a registered charity based in the village of Twechar. Twechar Youth Group was founded in 2001 as a small youth committee of 6, but has now grown to be a registered charity and have 15 members of the committee. Currently the Youth Group is made up of a senior and junior committee, both of which fundraise and organise events for all the young people in Twechar.
The Youth Group has engaged with the young people from the village
to identify their needs and aspirations so that we are able to provide services that are required. We also help young people move
their ideas forward. In addition to providing events and activities for people in Twechar, we also provide various training courses
to our volunteers.
Twechar Youth Group are currently looking into the possibility of building an Outdoor Pursuits Centre at the canal side in Twechar. We are working with Community Enterprise as they produce a Feasibility Study and Business Plan for the possible centre.
